Shediac’s Giant Lobster Gets Into The Festive Spirit

The giant lobster statue is wearing a giant light-up Santa hat!

Shediac Mayor, Roger Caissie says the idea was brought up by the previous mayor about four years ago, hoping to brighten the otherwise dark area.

Caissie says town staff made the hat out a frame wrapped with rope-lights.

This year, the hat was showcased during the parade before being placed on the lobster.
