Moncton’s new homeless shelter on Albert Street has received a big financial boost.
House of Nazareth executive director Jean Dube says a fundraising effort last week raised more than $90,000 for the facility.
Dube says they initially set a goal of $20,000 and he says this shows the remarkable generosity in the community.
The media was given a sneak peak of the new shelter recently.
After various construction delays, the shelter at 75 Albert Street is expected to open in the next few weeks.
