Most of us are still enjoying fall but Old Man Winter is right around the corner and that brings a seasonal forecast from Accuweather.
Senior meteorologist Brett Anderson says the start of winter in New Brunswick is expected to be rather mild.
“We believe the main storm track – at least the first half of the winter – is going to be more directed up through the Great Lakes and Quebec which kind of keeps Atlantic Canada on the milder side of things,” he notes.
Anderson believes we will get some rain, snow and even ice but temperatures will be at least one or two degrees above normal for December and most of January.
Later in the winter, he believes the storm track will move east which would be more favourable for snow in the region.
He adds February could be the snowiest and coldest month of the winter.
