A two-storey stone house in Riverview was destroyed by fire on Friday morning leaving eight tenants without a place to stay.
Riverview firefighters found heavy smoke upon arrival at 645 Hillsborough Road and began an exterior attack.
Everyone inside managed to get out safely and no one was hurt.
Mutual aid came from the Moncton Fire Department which provided one engine.
An excavator tore down the building for safety reasons.
The cause is still under investigation.
The Red Cross is helping the tenants with accommodations, food and clothing.
