Autumn has arrived and the leaves are gradually starting to change colour across Southern New Brunswick.
The northern part of the province has a head start and the colours are now beginning to peak there.
Weather Network meteorologist Michael Carter says the weather plays a key role in how brilliant the fall colours will be.
“Especially when we start to get those cooler nights, we start to see the fall foliage peaking out across the region,” he notes.
But Carter adds if the nights are too cold and frosty, the colours may not be as vivid.
The peak time for leaf-peeping in Southern New Brunswick is usually early to mid-October around Thanksgiving.
