Residents of the tent city on Albert Street have one more day to pack up their belongings.
The City of Moncton had issued an eviction notice on Monday and everyone had to leave the site by today (September 25).
With the weather getting colder, support agencies including YMCA ReConnect were guiding individuals to the two existing homeless shelters.
But city spokesperson Isabelle LeBlanc says this week’s heavy rain has been making the move difficult and tomorrow (September 26) is now the deadline to leave the site.
