Some families may struggle to afford back-to-school items but help is available.
Registration is now underway for the annual Moncton Headstart School Supplies Drive.
Spokesperson Tracey Arnand says for those wanting to donate, some supplies are in high demand.
“We are in need of binders, markers – both thick and thin markers for students, calculators is something we are low on and also USB drives,” she notes.
Arnand says eligible families will receive a backpack and half of the school supplies on their child’s list.
Until August 29th, donations are welcome at Moncton Headstart at 1111 Mountain Road or at any Jean Coutu location in Greater Moncton.
