A fire has destroyed a house and a garage on Weisner Road in Lakeville.
The Moncton Fire Department arrived on scene late Sunday morning and the fire was already heavily involved.
Acting Platoon Chief Ron Arsenault says the fire started in the garage and spread to the house.
With no hydrants in the area, he says tankers had to be brought in.
Arsenault says the rain on Saturday worked in their favour since wet conditions prevented the fire from spreading into nearby woods.
It took about 90 minutes to put out the blaze but firefighters were on scene for about six hours.
Dieppe Fire was also called in to help.
No one was hurt.
The cause is under investigation.
