The RCMP’s Explosives Disposal Unit was called to Richibucto on Tuesday to remove a package deemed suspicious at the local detachment.
When officers found the package around 8am, the building had to be evacuated and the surrounding area was blocked off as a precaution.

However, the package was eventually removed and safely disposed of.
It was determined there was no risk.
No one was hurt.
The investigation is ongoing and Richibucto RCMP are seeking anyone with information to contact them at 506-523-4611.
