A Moncton entrepreneur is one of about 15 who are receiving support for their tech startup businesses at Venn Innovation.
Jen Leger is co-founder of Quber which is an app designed to help you save and manage your money.
Leger says no one carries around change anymore and the idea started as way to donate your virtual change.
“It then turned into much more because we realized how big of a problem it is that people are having saving money and budgeting. There’s a lot of people out there living paycheque to paycheque,” she notes.
Working with mentors in the Venn Garage, Leger says their revenue model is to sell the app to financial institutions which would incorporate Quber into their own banking apps.
After their first sale and with sustainable revenue, Leger says the five employees of Quber will be able to move out and get their own office.
