Venn COO Barbara Ells says the company supports entrepreneurs who have broad ideas by coaching them, asking them to meet milestones and to be committed.
In the so-called Venn Garage, Ells says entrepreneurs have access to Atlantic Canada’s top mentors, expert workshops and training.
She says some spend a lot of time at Venn while others are already working full-time and often spend late nights at the facility.
Venn Innovation is a non-profit organization which relies on funding from all three levels of government and also has sponsors from private industries.
Entrepreneurs themselves also contribute once their businesses start making money.
