For more than a decade, a group of 12 employees at a Miramichi company have been playing the lotto and they’ve finally struck it rich.
The Atlantic Lottery Corporation has handed a $1 million cheque to employees at Kingston’s Fuels after they won a Lotto 6-49 draw from last month.
Darren Hubbard was the lotto pool organizer and he’s also a prankster so his fellow employees didn’t believe him at first.
To prove it, he had to take a photo of the lotto machine validating the ticket at the store.
The group has lots of plans with their prize winnings including paying off mortgages, home renovations, new vehicles and family vacations.
