Power has now been restored to almost 2400 NB Power customers in Greater Moncton.
NB Power Spokesperson Marc Belliveau says they received reports of the outage just before 6am this morning.
He says crews found that a small animal made contact with leads on fuses in a substation on Wilbur Avenue.
The Greater Moncton YMCA delayed its opening due to the power outages, but services are now up and running again..
