The Moncton High School Graduates of 1979 have announced their 40th Class Reunion.
The reunion will be held July 12th – 13th with approximately 60 graduates and guests attending various events starting July 12th such as golfing, wine tasting, a pub night.
It will conclude on July 13th with a Dinner Dance night at the Alma City Club on Alma St.
Forty years ago, graduates went on to explore, learn, create, and contribute to the world as we know it today.
Some became teachers, nurses, radio announcers or hair dressers while others became entrepreneurs, lawyers, physiotherapists and more. In fact many of Moncton’s and New Brunswick’s present day buildings and roads have been built by Moncton High Alumni.
In discovering that several classmates were no longer living, a memorial scholarship of $2,425 was created and given to a current MHS graduate.
Additionally, the Ed Skiffington trophy is awarded each year to the top New Brunswick Varsity Football Champion.
It was created in honour of Mr. Skiffington who coached our undefeated MHS 1977-79 champion football team.
