Moncton firefighters responded to two fires at the same house on Thursday.
Around 10:30 in the morning, Platoon Chief Brian Gaudet says crews arrived at a home on Connaught Avenue at Leslie Street.
A fire was located near a light fixture in the kitchen and it was quickly put out using fire extinguishers.
No one was home at the time.
Around 6 o’clock last night, Platoon Chief Gaudet says crews were called back to the same home for what he calls “a rekindle” where embers were found in a concealed space in the ceiling.
That fire was also quickly put out.
The cause of the original fire is still under investigation.
