The Victoria Day weekend is fast approaching and while pump prices often climb heading into a long weekend, a senior petroleum analyst believes fuel prices will actually take a tumble this week.
Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com predicts gasoline will fall by roughly two cents per litre when the provincial regulator makes a price adjustment at midnight.
Diesel could drop by about one cent per litre this week.
Last week, gas prices dropped by 4.3 cents and diesel dipped by 0.1 cent.
Most stations in Metro Moncton are currently selling for about $1.30 per litre.
