For the second year in a row due to flooding, the New Brunswick Department of Transportation is being forced to shut down the Trans Canada Highway between Moncton and Oromocto.
Department officials say the TCH Route 2 will be closing at 7pm tonight (April 24) between Exit 306 at Oromocto and Exit 423 at River Glade.
Drivers must take a detour through Saint John via Routes 1 and 7.
As of early Wednesday, officials had to close one lane of traffic on the TCH westbound in the Jemseg area as floodwaters rose up onto the road.
