As residents in the Miramichi area continue to grieve over the loss of four teens, emergency responders will be one hand at James M Hill Memorial and North and South Esk schools this morning to assist the students as they return to class after the long Easter weekend.
They will be there to support the students and remind them that they are sharing the tragic deaths of four teens as a community.
Additional counselling staff will also be on hand.
Several schools across the province, are also planning to wear the school colours that represent JMH and NSER schools. Green and gold for one, and burgundy and white for the other.
16-year-old Avery Astle, 17-year-old Logan Matchett, 17-year-old Cassie Lloyd, and 18-year-old Emma Connick were killed when the car they were in, veered off the road and flipped over, landing on its roof in deep waters.
