As the Green Party continues to forge ahead just days before the provincial election, they are dealing with a tragic loss.
Green Party Leader Peter Bevan-Baker released a statement about the loss of Josh Underhay, who was a candidate in District 9, Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park..
Underhay and his young son were killed in a tragic canoeing accident last night.

Queens RCMP say they received a call yesterday about two people missing on the Hillsborough River.
The pair had gone canoeing for the afternoon, but had not returned.
A man and youth were located in the water near their capsized canoe. RCMP says both were wearing a lifejacket.
All Green election activities have been suspended for the remainder of the campaign.
Bevan-Baker says “Josh has been a dear friend and colleague of mine for many years, as a volunteer, musician, passionate cycling advocate and Green Party supporter. He has touched the lives of everyone who knew him, including the students he taught, fellow musicians, and members of the party. Whether advocating for proportional representation, dazzling us with his mastery of languages, or being there to support fellow candidates, Josh brought humour, enthusiasm and boundless energy to every situation. I simply cannot imagine how much he will be missed.”
PEI residents will head to the polls on Tuesday.
A recent MQO Research poll of 400 PEI residents puts the Green Party in the lead at 40 per cent. That’s 11 points ahead of the Progressive Conservative party.
The Liberals are in third.
