It has been four years since the Magnetic Hill concert site saw a show, but on August 10th, Luke Bryan and fans will bring the hill back to life.
Country act Luke Bryan was officially announced this morning.
Manager of Venues for the City of Moncton Shane Porter says this show has been in the works with Whitecap Entertainment for quite some time.
He says they’ll begin getting the Hill ready for August 10th, but with major investment in the site already. There are already buildings and infrastructure in place, “There is budget in place to keep the ground up. It’s not like we let the place go, while there are no events. We have to be ready every year in the case we do attract something to the hill.”
He says the promoter has some interesting things planned, “For the most part, the key areas of the concert site will remain the same. Whitecap is doing some interesting things that we haven’t done up there before, by the way of camping, so we’ll have some focus on that. But the main concert site itself, you won’t see any huge, huge change.”planned in the way of camping on site…which is something they haven’t done before..
Porter adds, “There is a lot that goes into attracting those shows. It is a huge undertaking, every time you do a major event outdoors. It’s tough.”
The last show on Magnetic Hill was AC/DC in 2015.
Tickets and on site camping for Luke Bryan go on sale this Friday.
