The jobless rate improved in New Brunswick in March according to Statistics Canada.
The unemployment rate stood at 7.9 percent which is down from 8.5 percent in February.
About 3,100 more residents were employed last month.
The province’s two largest cities had much lower jobless rates.
The rate in Greater Moncton was unchanged at 5.8 percent which is the same as the Canada-wide rate.
Saint John recorded a slight drop at 5.6 percent.
Statscan says employment in the province has risen by 5,300 (+1.5 percent) since March 2018.
