The ribbon has officially been cut on a Moncton expansion that has been years in the making.
Curl Moncton, that is located on Lockhart Avenue doubled the number of sheets of ice to ten.
Club President Jacques Robichaud says they’ve been using the new ice sheets since January, and so far they have proven to be a success, “For us, it generates additional interest. It will generate additional revenue. So, it’s a win-win for us.”

The club currently has over 460 members, but Robichaud hopes they can see that number grow, especially through the Little Rocks program, “This season, we have reached out to around 5000 school kids already. We do have a lot of kids who come and try it out on the ice and then a lot of hose will register for Little Rocks. Then some of the parents will register for Learn to Curl.”
This $2.7 million expansion makes it the largest club east of Montreal.
