A mixed bag of weather on the way for today and tomorrow.
We are currently under a freezing rain warning for our region and Southeast New Brunswick.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jean-Marc Couturier says a low pressure system is tracking eastward across southern Quebec and into New Brunswick.
Conditions will start as snow, but will change to ice pellets and freezing rain, “For the accumulating snow, we re looking at from about midday to early evening. For the icy conditions, we’re looking at much of the evening hours, from about 7pm until midnight.”
Around 10 centimetres of snow is expected to fall, before it mixes with ice pellets.
The temperatures will rise by morning, and we’ll have rain for most of tomorrow.
Highways, roads, walkways and parking lots could become quite slippery and hazardous….during the freezing rain and ice pellets.
