An idea almost 17 months in the making is coming to fruition tomorrow for a local woman.
Marley McGinnis is the owner of the new Play Cafe which is a space for a parent supervised indoor playground experience.
She says parents can enjoy a coffee and snack while children can play in a variety of structures and areas.
“There’s a couple of different wooden structures that they can play on that incorporate climbing activities, there’s also some soft play, there’s a smaller area for younger children as well, there’s a train table, a book centre, there’s some fine motor toys, and there’s also a playhouse,” says McGinnis.
She says there’s a drop in fee of $8 for children over the age of 2 – parents and guardians, and children under 2 are free.
If you plan to be there more regularly, you can buy punch passes or monthly memberships.
The Play Cafe grand opening is tomorrow at 150 Edmonton Avenue, near Vaughan Harvey and Collishaw.
Hours of operation are: Monday to Saturday 9AM – 6PM and Sundays 11AM – 5PM.
