Local government byelections are now set for several communities in the province.
New Brunswickers will cast ballots for municipal roles in the following communities.
- Beausoleil: mayor – 5 candidates
- Belledune: one councillor-at-large – 3 candidates
- Champdoré: one councillor (Ward 3) – 3 candidates
- Doaktown: one councillor-at-large – 3 candidates
- Fundy-St. Martins: one councillor (Ward 1) – 3 candidates
- Hautes-Terres: one councillor-at-large – 4 candidates
- Saint John: one councillor (Ward 3) – 11 candidates
- Strait Shores: one councillor-at-large – 3 candidates
- Sunbury-York South: one councillor (Ward 2) – 3 candidates
- Valley Waters: one councillor (Ward 4) – 3 candidates
In Hanwell, Jarred Dooley was acclaimed as councillor for Ward 5.
Richard Blackstock fills the role of Ward 1 councillor in Riverview by acclamation.
In Shediac, John Steeves is the new councillor for Ward 3.
Gary Grant becomes the Ward 4 councillor for Lakeland Ridges.
Council vacancies remain in Campobello Island and Tracy as no one put their name forward.
They will be included in the next round of byelections expected to be held in May 2025.

One day of advance voting is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30, and election day is Monday, Dec. 9. Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
