New Brunswick’s first female Premier is getting right down to work.
Susan Holt took to social media on Monday with her plans for the week.
Her Liberal Cabinet arrived yesterday in Fredericton for a full week of meetings
“On Wednesday, our whole Liberal caucus arrives here for caucus training. We’re going to learn the rules of the Legislative Assembly. We’re going to spend some time together as a team, working through the quick action items that are going to make your life more affordable and improve your access to healthcare.”
A new session of the provincial Legislature will begin on November 19.
Holt was officially sworn in as Liberal premier on Saturday.
On Monday, Holt made changes to the senior ranks of government and policymakers.
Judy Wagner has been appointed the new head of the civil service in the province, which is a role she previously had for three years.
Travis Bergin will serve as deputy minister of finance, while Shannon Wilson will act as deputy for tourism, heritage, and culture.
Kelly Cain moves into the role of Chief of staff in the Office of the Premier.
The moves come just days after Holt unveiled her new 19-member cabinet.
