Some much needed rain is heading to the Maritimes this weekend and into next week according to the Weather Network.
Meteorologist Doug Gilham says a cold front will bring dramatic changes on Friday and some relief.
“Fortunately that won’t be all the rain that we will see. We’re heading into a much cooler and unsettled pattern that will last through the weekend and most of next week,” notes Gilham.
“There will be several opportunities for some beneficial rain and much cooler temperatures.”
While more rain will still be needed to combat drought-like conditions, Gilham thinks the region will be in much better shape in a week from now.
