Riverview Fire and Rescue had to extricate a driver from an SUV on Thursday which nearly hit the Kent store on Coverdale Road.
Deputy Fire Chief Geoff Fisher said crews arrived shortly before 11 a.m. and found an SUV had left the road and came to rest against a concrete barrier next to the store.
Fisher said firefighters removed the driver and only person in the vehicle.
The individual was treated by paramedics on scene and taken to hospital by Ambulance NB.
No word on the patient’s condition.
Fisher said the vehicle sustained significant damage but the concrete barrier prevented it from hitting the store.
