Winter may be officially over but parts of New Brunswick still have enough snow for snowmobiling especially at higher elevations.
Snowmobile Motoneige NB president Dave Garland said the province has welcomed sledders from many areas this season.
“The support we get from Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire is just amazing. We also have a big influx of people from Quebec and Ontario.”
Garland noted the organization has made a concerted effort to improve its trail signage system in recent years.
“I would not recommend going snowmobiling without a map. But truly the signs in the trail system are so advanced that it’s a wonderful experience to get out there. You just don’t have that feeling you’re lost.”
If planning a trip, Garland said an app is now available for your phone with both offline and online features including available nearby services and updated trail conditions.
