New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs is losing his Chief of Staff after four-and-a-half years.
Louis Léger has announced his retirement.
Higgs appointed Léger to the role shortly after forming government in the fall of 2018.
“Louis’ business experience and his vast political experience benefited our office, our province and the Progressive Conservative Party during these past four-and-a-half years,” stated Higgs on social media.
“During his time as chief of staff, we worked together to navigate through an unprecedented global pandemic, while still moving forward with platform commitments we made to New Brunswickers. We also grew our party from a minority to a majority,” Higgs added.
The premier thanked Léger for his service to the province and to the PC party and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
