Codiac RCMP have arrested 29-year-old Richard James Simmons of Moncton, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large.
On June 28, police said he failed to return to his correctional facility and a Canada-wide warrant was later issued for his arrest.
He had been serving jail time for possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with conditions from a probation order.
Mounties arrested Richard James Simmons on December 21 but did not disclose his location at the time.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on January 11.
