Like many other communities across New Brunswick, the Town of Riverview enjoyed substantial growth in 2022.
Year-to-date, Riverview mayor Andrew LeBlanc said the town had about $34 million in building numbers.
“That was another fairly strong year for development for us. I think we have six apartment buildings going up right now and another two that had been completed this year. So there’s some really good things happening from a development level.”
LeBlanc noted how the town has added more residents and more businesses.
“I think I’ve done more ribbon cuttings this year for new businesses than I’ve ever done in my 10 years on council – which is great.”
LeBlanc said he and council are pleased with the pace of development.
But he indicated the challenge will be sustaining that growth going forward and predicting potential issues stemming from it.
