The junior hockey world has arrived in Moncton which means a bit more hustle and bustle than usual for the holiday season.
The World Juniors has brought players, coaches, scouts, families and fans from around the globe.
Mayor Dawn Arnold wants visitors to remember the hospitable nature of the people in the region.
“It’s the kindness, it’s the caring, it’s our bilingualism. It’s the uniqueness of this community,” notes Arnold.
“The hope is they have a really great time and they bring their family and friends back as tourists in the future.”
Hotels and restaurants have been filling up at a normally quiet time of year.
Also during the junior hockey tournament, the City of Moncton is hosting a community festival with entertainment for the whole family.
