Five people were arrested after a seizure of drugs and ammunition in Moncton.
Mounties carried out a search warrant at a home on Pioneer Avenue last week (December 1) and seized apparent quantities of cocaine, cannabis and prescription drugs.
Police also seized a prohibited weapon, ammunition, drug trafficking equipment and money.
Four people were later released from custody with court dates set for April.
Dwayne Richard, 28, of Rothesay was charged on December 2 with possession of non-prescribed drugs and failure to appear in court.
He returned to court December 6 and was subsequently remanded into custody.
He is scheduled to make another court appearance on December 14.
This investigation was the result of a joint effort between the Codiac Regional RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit and the New Brunswick Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU).
The New Brunswick IEU is made up of members from the New Brunswick RCMP, as well as municipal police and Justice and Public Safety officers in the province.
