The general manager of Moncton’s Avenir Centre is excited the venue will be hosting a top tier international hockey event.
Dave Saldanha believes winning a bid partnership with Halifax speaks volumes.
“I think it really speaks to our ability as a location to be competitive with these events. And not only that, it offers a really unique experience for the players coming to the event, as well as the patrons and fans and everybody else who’s involved.”
Saldanha isn’t sure yet how many games will be played at the Avenir Centre.
“The numbers still being ironed out in their entirety. But I would say that it’s a pretty fair balance without giving too much away. And I would say that both markets are going to to be showcasing everybody.”
He says logistics surrounding ticket sales are now underway and more details are expected soon.
Saldanha adds when tickets are ready, fans will be notified through the media and social media channels as soon as possible.
