The community of Beausoleil is now without a mayor.
Jean Hebert submitted his resignation this week.
There’s no official word yet on why he has stepped back.
A statement from Hebert on the community of Beausoleil website says this comes following events this summer and his inability to resolve them.
Hebert also offered an apology to anyone he may have offended over the past two months.
