Park’N Fly is reporting that around 1 million of its customers were impacted by a recent breach of their systems.
In a release from Park’N Fly, who operate parking lots near airports around Canada, they explained that between July 11 and July 13, someone without authorization breached their security through remote VPN access.
On August 23, after conducting an internal investigation Park’N Fly determined that the hackers had accessed personal information including names and basic contact information, such as email addresses and mailing information, as well as Aeroplan and CAA numbers.
No passwords, financial details or payment information was accessed.
Since the breach, Park’N Fly has made investments to improve their cybersecurity as well as providing training to staff to better protect IT resources.
They have also launched a customer support hotline for any customers concerned about the breach or with questions. It can be reached toll-free at 1-844-405-3577 Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
