Today I took the cruiser to a Make-A-Wish NB event!
Make-A-Wish NB and HMCS Fredericton are currently doing the 12th Annual Ride For Wishes across the province! The event supports raising $30,000 for wishes across the province during the 5-day ride. Today, they stopped in Moncton for a BBQ and a 50/50 draw to help fundraise.
I was at the event and had an awesome time getting people to stop by and support such an awesome cause. While I was at the event, I got to meet a “wish kid” who is about to receive her wish!
Charlie is a five-year-old girl who suffers from severe epilepsy and has had a very tough road since her seizures began. Speaking to Charlie’s mom really gave me insight about how important Make-A-Wish is, and a deeper look at what they do and how families are impacted.
A big thank you to Make-A-Wish New Brunswick for having me out this afternoon.
