A vacant home on Weldon Street has been damaged by fire.
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Mike Lake says reports came just before 12:30 Friday morning.
Firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze on the exterior and then moved inside the boarded-up building.
No one was at the three-storey residence when the fire broke out, and Lake says it has been empty for some time. It’s believed the owner was doing or planning renovations.
Firefighters were there for around 90 minutes.
The Fire Marshall is on the scene today trying to determine the cause.
