Canada Day will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1 and many businesses and services will either be closed or have reduced operating hours.
In lieu of the statutory holiday falling on Saturday, many businesses or services will be closed on Monday, July 3 as well.
Saturday, July 1
- Most major retail and grocery outlets, big box stores and shopping malls will be closed
- Public libraries will be closed
- Most pharmacies, convenience stores, and gas bars will be open
- Codiac Transpo will be operating on a modified schedule
- Saint John Transit will not be operating
- Saint John City Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- N.B. Liquor and Cannabis N.B. stores will be closed
- Most tourist attractions will be open
Monday, July 3
- Federal, provincial and municipal offices will be closed
- Canada Post will not be delivering mail
- Most banks and credit unions will be closed
- Public libraries will be closed
- Codiac Transpo and Saint John Transit will have normal operating hours
- Saint John City Market will be open
