Single digit high temperatures in early June don’t happen often but it actually happened twice in Greater Moncton over the weekend amid cool and wet conditions.
Just two days after the temperature hit a scorching 33.9°C on June 1, the high was only 6.2°C on Saturday and 9.2°C on Sunday.
Environment Canada confirmed those are the coldest highs ever for June 3 and June 4.
The agency has weather records for the Moncton area dating back to the late 1800s.
