Charges have been laid against two people following a months-long drug trafficking investigation in Riverview.
Mounties say they began an investigation last fall into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the community.
On May 11, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on McDowell Avenue as part of the investigation.
They seized quantities of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia, a weapon and money.
Police said they also recovered a previously stolen motorcycle, various tools, and an electric bike which has since been returned to its owner.
They both appeared in court Monday and were charged with eight offences, including:
- possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- two Counts of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- unsafe storage of a firearm
- careless use of a firearm
- possession of a weapon for the dangerous purpose
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
Both were released from custody and are due back in court on June 26.
