One woman has died following a three vehicle collision on Route 112 in Upper Coverdale late Thursday afternoon.
Riverview Fire and Rescue responded to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. where firefighters found the three vehicles with one vehicle in the ditch.
Deputy Chief John Malloy said firefighters had to use extrication tools to remove people from vehicles.
RCMP believe the collision occurred when the first vehicle crossed the centre line and hit an oncoming vehicle while a third vehicle collided into the crash scene.

Mounties tweeted about the collision Thursday afternoon and diverted traffic around the crash scene for about nine hours before the road reopened.
