Moncton City Council has decided to advance grant funding to a couple of non-profit organizations in need.
Atlantic Wellness will receive $130,000 to help move into a larger location.
The organization provides mental health services for youth and has outgrown its current space due to high demand.
Crossroads for Women will receive a grant of $220,000.
The crisis centre for women and children wants to rebuild a shelter which was destroyed by fire in 2021 and increase the size of a current shelter.
Both organizations have undertaken their own fundraising campaigns as well.
