Former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole hopes to see fewer profanity-laden Trudeau flags in 2023 according to his newsletter on the Substack platform.
In a news conference on Friday from Ottawa, current Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre was asked about those flags and bumper stickers.
“I don’t like the flags… and I don’t like rage. But I think we have to ask ourselves, why are people so angry? Like, why are people so angry? And the answer is that they’re hurting,” he said.
Poilievre added he has never seen so much hurt and so much pain and suffering in Canada’s population in his nearly two decades in politics.
Meantime, Poilievre also weighed in on the current travel nightmare experiences many Canadians have been facing during this holiday season
Poilievre noted how the air industry is federally-regulated and it is up to Ottawa to fix it.
“The solution of course is to have a Canadian Transportation Agency that holds airlines accountable for breaking their word to the people. That’s what the agency is there for. It is a federal agency.”
Poilievre stated that 30,000 Canadians are now waiting to have their travel complaints heard and it could take 18 months to hear them – which he added is not acceptable.
