The Memorial Cup took a tour of the Saint John skyline on Sunday afternoon in advance of the tournament.
Organizers of the 2022 Memorial Cup tournament held the ‘Arrival of the Cup’ event.
Part of the festivities included a helicopter flyover with the cup aboard.
The pilot then successfully landed the cup onto a Canadian Coast Guard ship, where it was transported to shore.
The parade took place on Water Street and travelled toward the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village.
Each team was part of the parade, along with military personnel and fans.
When the cup arrived at the Container Village, the Saint John Sea Dogs unveiled the military jersey they will wear during the tournament opener.
While festivities began over the weekend, the first game of the national tournament goes Monday night as the host Saint John Sea Dogs take on the Hamilton Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League.
