Support for Premier Blaine Higgs has taken a tumble in the latest Angus Reid survey.
The poll shows one-third (33 percent) of New Brunswickers approve of Higgs which is his lowest rating since he became premier in 2018.
A year ago, more than half of those polled gave their approval.
At the beginning of the pandemic, Higgs had an approval rating of 80 percent.
Angus Reid says Higgs and the Progressive Conservatives have been accused of not doing enough to fight inflation.
Out of nine premiers surveyed, Higgs sits third last just above Alberta Premier Jason Kenney who was recently ousted by members of his own party, the UCP.
Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston had the highest rating at 62 percent.
Angus Reid says opinions of Higgs soured last fall as the province struggled with a wave of COVID-19 and his approval rating has yet to recover.
