Jeopardy’s ‘Canadian unicorn’ remains on top.
Mattea Roach, who is originally from Nova Scotia, won her fifth consecutive game Monday night on the popular U.S. quiz show.
Guest host Ken Jennings was impressed with Roach’s technique on Final Jeopardy! saying she knew the question before he even finished reading.
It’s a good thing she knew the answer, as she trailed heading into the final round, but the leader answered incorrectly.
Roach finished the game with $12,600 and has a five-day total of over $117,000. She’ll defend her title on Tuesday night.
Her win also qualified her for the Tournament of Champions.
