In light of the pandemic, the 2021 Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held virtually for residents in Greater Moncton to pay tribute to the sacrifices of our veterans and those who continue to serve.
The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Moncton Coliseum starting at 10:30 a.m. on November 11 and will be broadcast on Rogers TV (Channel 10).
“Legions across the country are adjusting their normal Remembrance Day ceremonies to ensure that Canadians can still pay tribute to our Veterans despite these unusual circumstances” said Robert Dupuis, President of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6.
“While we are requesting that Monctonians remain home on Remembrance Day, we are proud to be partnering with the City of Moncton and Rogers TV to provide them with an online ceremony to honour the sacrifices of those that have served our country” said Dupuis.
Residents can actually watch in several ways such as on Rogers TV (Channel 10), on RogersTV.com or by clicking “Remembrance Day” on the homepage of moncton.ca or on social media shared by the City of Moncton.
Dignitaries, special guests and organizers will be attending in-person at the Coliseum.
However, residents will not be allowed to enter the Coliseum to ensure compliance with Public Health guidelines.
