New Brunswickers will need to wait at least one more day before the province hits the first phase of the Green level of COVID-19 recovery.
The rate of residents with one dose of a COVID vaccine went up .4 per cent to 74.6 per cent Sunday.
Public Health says just 2,775 more doses are needed to hit the 75 per cent mark, the target at which the government says pandemic restrictions can begin to be loosened.
The province has said the first phase of the Green level would see the elimination of the household bubble, allowing New Brunswickers to maintain close contacts with all friends and family members.
Travellers would also be permitted into the province from Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Avignon and Témiscouata in Quebec, without being required to self-isolate.
Cross-border commuters, truckers, and rotational workers would also be subject to reduced restrictions.
Seven cases announced Sunday
The province announced seven new cases for a second-straight day Sunday; three were in the Fredericton region, and the other four were in the Bathurst health zone.
All seven new cases were contacts of previously-confirmed cases.
Three people recovered since Saturday, meaning the active case number rose to 97 today, but the province remained under 100 active cases for a third-straight day.
Four New Brunswickers are hospitalized with the virus, including one outside of the province. Two people, including the out-of-province patient, are in an intensive care unit.
Public Health also announced a new case at École Marie-Esther in Shippagan.
